For those that love to read all about the nitty gritty details behind our design processes, you’re going to absolutely love today’s post! I pride myself in trying my absolute hardest to create a seamless client design process. Whether it’s for our custom design process or for our designs in a day process, I want both to be a premium, luxurious, easy experience for all of our clients!

What is a Designs in a Day service?

  • A designs in a day service is a premium one-day service where we essentially get your design to-do list done for you! What a weight off your shoulders that may be, right?!

  • These can include any of the following (and more if we didn’t name your specific listed item, just ask us if we’d be able to do it for you in a day!):

    • A mini brand (which includes a primary logo, brand icon, brand pattern, brand fonts, brand colors, and a mini brand style guide with your designs provided in ALL your brand colors and in PNG, JPG, and EPS formats).

    • A mini 3-page website

    • On-brand gifs

    • Additional brand icons

    • Print materials (post cards, business cards, brochures, and more!) we can even coordinate printing for you and shipping through our local print shop if you’d like to add-on this service!

    • Social media graphics

    • Landing page creation

    • Website updates you’ve been meaning to do (swapping out pictures, custom coding to make a page look more aesthetically pleasing, and more!)

    • A website audit plus the time to implement the changes we’d recommend

Let me walk you through a designs in a day process:

  1. STEP ONE: Inquire to get started

  2. STEP TWO: We have a quick discovery call either via Zoom or a phone call, whichever you prefer. This is where we can get any additional details or specific notes that you’d like us to keep in mind during your day and while reviewing your designs in a day questionnaire!

  3. STEP THREE: You’ve paid your 50% deposit, signed your contract, and have started to fill out you designs in a day questionnaire, Pinterest board inspiration, along with adding your brand photos, portfolio photos, copywriting, and logo files (unless we’re creating one for you!) to the shared folder so we have all the materials that we need for your day.

  4. STEP FOUR: You’ve completed your shared folder, Pinterest board inspiration, and questionnaire at least 3 days before your designs in a day service. This gives us enough time to review all the materials and to ensure that we don’t need to request any additional materials before your day. We require that these items are completed before your day so then our entire day can be strategically spent designing, not searching or asking for additional materials.

  5. STEP FIVE: Your designs in a day is here, woohoo! Let’s get started.

  6. STEP SIX: Around 8:30AM CST/CDT we will get started on your designs in a day materials. You can expect to receive a message from us to review your materials between 11:00AM - 12:00PM. We require that we have feedback from you by no later than 1:00PM CST to ensure that we stay on track with your designs in a day service. We provide all materials such as wireframes, rough drafts, etc. right inside a Markup.io, a very easy to use system where you can click exactly on the area of the picture that you’d like to give feedback and write your comment directly in that spot. It makes communicating changes, and likes/dislikes, so much faster and efficiently!

  7. STEP SEVEN: We’ve received all your feedback. So now we use your Markup.io as a checklist essentially along with any other notes we’ve gathered from you to start developing your new mini 3-page website, creating your mini branding, or other design materials that you’ve requested for us to design for your business in a day.

  8. STEP EIGHT: Final designing and developing has begun! You’ll receive all your final files by 3:00PM CST in order to have enough time to give any final feedback before we package everything up and send you all the finalized final files.

  9. STEP NINE: Your designs in a day is completed and you have gorgeous new designs to show off to everyone!
